Service Description

Getting Your House in Order is a five-week culturally specific financial education course designed to empower participants through meaningful conversations about money, financial habits, and wealth building. This course takes into consideration African Americans’ shared history, culture, beliefs, and behaviors around money management to better understand how financial decisions have been shaped in the past and how they can be strengthened moving forward. Participants are encouraged to explore financial topics in a supportive and culturally responsive environment that promotes growth, confidence, and long-term financial wellness. Throughout the course, participants will learn practical financial skills related to: • Budgeting and money management • Saving and wealth building • Credit and debt management • Banking and financial services • Financial goal setting and planning • Consumer awareness and financial empowerment The program creates a safe and welcoming space where participants can openly discuss financial challenges, develop healthier financial habits, and build the knowledge needed to make informed financial decisions.
