If you have a Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8), currently live in an eligible area and are either pregnant or have at least one child under 18, the Making Moves program can help you explore new housing options in high-opportunity areas in Nassau and Suffolk counties. For families who qualify and commit to the contract of participation we offer personalized coaching, housing support and financial assistance. Working with your coach you will create a personalized housing search plan and set achievable goals that support your journey toward moving to a high opportunity community.

What the Making Moves Program Offers

  We assist in locating homes in well-resourced neighborhoods that qualify for Making Moves.
